About Jean-Marc Raymond

Dr. Jean-Marc Raymond is a cardiac electrophysiologist at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) and an Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal.

After earning his medical degree in 2000, he completed residencies in internal medicine and cardiology at the same institution. He further honed his expertise in complex ablation through a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University.

Since his return to CHUM in 2008, Dr. Raymond has focused his clinical and research efforts on managing atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardias, prioritizing innovative approaches that include both pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. His scientific contributions include over nine publications, collectively cited more than 748 times, reflecting his expertise in catheter ablation and antiarrhythmic therapies.

Renowned for his empathy, attentive care, and ability to simplify complex medical concepts for patients, Dr. Raymond also plays a pivotal role in training the next generation of physicians while advancing knowledge in the field of electrophysiology.
