Dr. Juneau completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the Université de Montréal and subsequently pursued his medical studies at the Université de Sherbrooke. He completed his cardiology residency within the Université de Montréal network and later underwent a research fellowship at Stanford University.
He served as Director of Professional Services at the ICM from 2000 to 2004 and as Head of the Department of Medicine and Cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute from 1994 to 1998. Since 1988, he has been the head of the Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Service (EPIC Center) at the ICM.
He was the chair of the specialty examination in cardiology for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada from 1994 to 1997. He served as Governor of the American College of Cardiology for Quebec from 2000 to 2005.
He is the chair of the Secondary Prevention Working Group of the Quebec Tertiary Cardiology Network and a member of the Scientific Committee of Kino-Québec.
