Clinical Practice

Dr. Gabriel Huard is a specialist in general internal medicine with a particular focus on vascular medicine. He practices at the CIUSSS du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, primarily at Hôpital de Chicoutimi, where he cares for patients with a wide range of complex systemic conditions.

His clinical work includes the evaluation and management of various vascular disorders, including arterial and venous diseases.

Teaching and Training

Dr. Huard is a Clinical Teaching Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Sherbrooke. He is actively involved in the training of medical students and residents.

His role includes bedside teaching as well as guiding learners in the critical appraisal of scientific literature, promoting evidence-based medical practice.

Knowledge Dissemination

Dr. Huard is also actively engaged in sharing medical knowledge within the professional community. He is a member of the BaladoCritique team, a podcast platform dedicated to the critical review of recent medical literature.

This involvement reflects his strong interest in knowledge translation and continuous improvement in clinical practice.

Professional Involvement

Dr. Huard serves on the executive committee of the Association des spécialistes en médecine interne du Québec (ASMIQ), where he contributes to the advancement of the specialty and to the organization and development of medical training, particularly in regional settings.
