About Pascale Lehoux

Clinical Psychologist and Health Psychologist

Dr. Pascale Lehoux earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Research from Concordia University in 2000. She later completed postdoctoral clinical training in the treatment of personality disorders in 2010 and has served as a didactic supervisor in this field since 2017. She also received specialized training in biofeedback and cardiac coherence in the United States, further deepening her expertise in the interaction between psychological health and physiological processes.

Professional Activity

Since 2002, Dr. Lehoux has been practicing as a health psychologist in the Cardiology Department at the University of Montreal Hospital Centre (CHUM). She works with patients facing complex psychological and medical conditions, integrating various psychotherapeutic approaches such as:

  • Object-relations Gestalt psychotherapy
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Biofeedback and cardiac coherence–based interventions

She also maintains a private practice, providing support to individuals dealing with:

  • The psychological impact of a medical diagnosis (cardiac or otherwise)
  • Difficulties adhering to treatment
  • Mood and anxiety disorders
  • Eating disorders
  • Relational difficulties or personality disorders

 

Commitment to Prevention and Cardiac Rehabilitation

Deeply committed to health promotion and prevention, Dr. Lehoux received in 2015 the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec Silver Heart Award, recognizing over 12 years of dedication to developing psychological care in cardiac rehabilitation.
