    Education<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. Mario S\u00e9n\u00e9chal obtained his medical degree from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al in 1989. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke in 1993, followed by a specialization in cardiology at Universit\u00e9 Laval in 1996.<\/p>

    He also holds a Diploma of Inter-University Studies (DIU) in immunology from Universit\u00e9 Fran\u00e7ois-Rabelais in Tours, France. He completed a fellowship in heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and echocardiography at H\u00f4pital de la Piti\u00e9-Salp\u00eatri\u00e8re in Paris, as well as at the Sarver Heart Center in Tucson, Arizona, in 2003.<\/p>

    Clinical Practice<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. S\u00e9n\u00e9chal is a cardiologist at the Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Qu\u00e9bec (IUCPQ). He practices within the echocardiography service as well as in heart failure and cardiac transplantation programs.<\/p>

    He is also the director of the cardiac sarcoidosis clinic, where he is involved in the care of patients with this complex and relatively uncommon condition.<\/p>

    Leadership and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. S\u00e9n\u00e9chal is the director of the heart failure and transplantation program at IUCPQ. He is also responsible for the research training program within the institution.<\/p>

    Highly involved in the scientific community, he has served as chair of the scientific committee of the Quebec Heart Failure Society.<\/p>

    Teaching and Academic Involvement<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. S\u00e9n\u00e9chal is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Universit\u00e9 Laval. He actively participates in the training of medical students and residents, contributing to the development of the next generation of cardiologists.<\/p>

    Research and Publications<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. S\u00e9n\u00e9chal has authored more than 150 scientific articles and abstracts and is actively involved in the peer review process for several scientific journals.<\/p>
