    Dr. Fran\u00e7ois Tournoux is an Associate Professor at McGill University and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al. He also serves as Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology and the Echocardiography Laboratory at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), where he combines clinical practice, academic responsibilities, and research.<\/p>

    As a FRQS Clinician-Scientist, he focuses on developing new technologies and innovative strategies to transform the management of heart failure and enhance the patient experience. His research particularly emphasizes cardiac imaging, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, exercise, and cardiac amyloidosis.<\/p>

    Education and training<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. Tournoux graduated in Medicine from Universit\u00e9 Paris 5 (Descartes) and obtained a PhD from Universit\u00e9 Paris 7 (Diderot). He completed his cardiology training in Paris, followed by a fellowship in echocardiography at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. This path provided him with advanced expertise in non-invasive cardiac imaging and heart failure.<\/p>

    From 2012 to 2020, he directed the Heart Failure Clinic at the CHUM (Centre hospitalier de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al), playing a key role in organizing and optimizing patient care. He also served as President of the Quebec Heart Failure Society (SQIC) from 2015 to 2023, helping advance clinical practice and strengthen the visibility of the Quebec cardiology community.<\/p>

    Clinical and research interests<\/strong><\/p>

    His expertise covers advanced echocardiography, heart failure management, sports cardiology, and the integration of new technologies in clinical practice.<\/p>

    He is particularly committed to transforming care pathways by better integrating evidence-based guidelines and improving the overall quality of care.<\/p>

    Quality improvement engagement<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. Tournoux completed specialized management training at HEC Montr\u00e9al \u2013 Executive Education (Essentials of the MBA). His main areas of interest in quality improvement include:<\/p>
