    Nuclear Medicine \u2013 Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital<\/strong><\/p>

    Education and Specialization<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. Luc Boucher earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Montreal in 1993 and completed his residency in Nuclear Medicine in 1998 at the same institution.<\/p>

    Eager to deepen his expertise in molecular imaging, he pursued an additional year of subspecialty training in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) at the University Hospital Center of Sherbrooke, a reference center recognized for its excellence in PET imaging and clinical research.<\/p>

    Clinical Practice<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. Boucher practiced nuclear medicine at CHUM from 1999 to 2017, where he made a significant contribution to the implementation of positron emission tomography (PET) in Montreal in 2003. He also played an active role in research and teaching in nuclear medicine within the institution.<\/p>

    Since 2017, he has been practicing at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, an institution affiliated with the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, where he applies his expertise in a state-of-the-art nuclear medicine department.<\/p>

    Dr. Boucher focuses his clinical practice on oncology and PET imaging, two fields in which nuclear medicine plays a central role in the diagnosis, staging, and therapeutic monitoring of cancer.<\/p>

    Teaching<\/strong><\/p>

    Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Boucher serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montreal.<\/p>

    He is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, sharing both his clinical experience and his rigorous approach to diagnostic imaging.<\/p>

    Scientific Interests and Contributions<\/strong><\/p>

    Dr. Boucher\u2019s research interests focus on the evolving clinical applications of PET imaging in oncology.<\/p>

    He has co-authored several scientific papers related to lung cancer, metabolic imaging, and the clinical use of PET-CT in diagnosis and follow-up.
    His contributions highlight the growing importance of nuclear medicine in patient management and personalized care.<\/p>
