    Dr. Yaariv Khaykin is a cardiologist who has devoted his career to better understanding and treating heart rhythm disorders. He works at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario, where he established one of the country\u2019s leading programs for treating atrial fibrillation, a common condition that causes irregular heartbeats.<\/p>

    He is also the Chief Medical Officer at PACE Cardiology, a specialized centre where he works to improve access to care for people who need urgent treatment. His goal is to reduce wait times so patients can see a specialist without delay.<\/p>

    After completing his medical degree at the University of Toronto, he pursued advanced training at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. Since 2004, he has introduced cutting-edge technologies to help people with rhythm problems lead healthier lives.<\/p>

    In addition to his clinical work, he leads a research group focused on new ways to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders. He has also helped create national databases to improve how these conditions are managed across Canada.<\/p>

    His research is recognized worldwide. He regularly publishes studies and shares his findings at international conferences. Thanks to his work, treatments have become more effective and widely available.<\/p>

    Dr. Khaykin has received numerous prestigious awards, including being named Distinguished Lecturer in Cardiovascular Sciences and being inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.<\/p>
