    Dr. Anique Ducharme earned a dual degree in Medicine (MD) and Biomedical Sciences (MSc, specializing in heart transplantation) from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al in 1991. She completed her cardiology residency in 1996.<\/p>

    She further specialized in echocardiography at the Montreal Heart Institute and pursued advanced training in molecular biology and heart failure at Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston.<\/p>

    Professional Overview<\/strong>
    Dr. Ducharme is a distinguished Professor of Medicine at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and holds the prestigious Marcelle and Jean Coutu, Cal & Janine Moisan Chair for Best Practices in Advanced Heart Failure. She founded and currently directs the Heart Failure Clinic at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) and has served as a Senior Clinical Research Scholar for the Fonds qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de recherche en sant\u00e9 (FQRS).<\/p>

    Currently, Dr. Ducharme is the President of the Canadian Heart Failure Society (CHFS) and previously chaired the scientific committee of the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress from 2018 to 2020. Since 2006, she has been a member of the Heart Failure Guidelines Committee of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS).<\/p>
