    Academic Background and Expertise<\/strong>
    Dr. Myriam Brassard earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from McGill University in 1992. She completed a residency in Pediatrics (1992\u20131996) and Cardiology (1995\u20131997) at the Faculty of Medicine at Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al.
    In 1997, she completed additional training in Fetal Cardiology at the same institution. Her expertise was further enhanced through a clinical fellowship in Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography at the University of Toronto (1998) and Harvard University in Boston (1998\u20131999).<\/p>

    Clinical Practice and Involvement at CHU Sainte-Justine<\/strong>
    Dr. Brassard has been a member of the Pediatric Cardiology Service at CHU Sainte-Justine since 1999. She specializes in echocardiography and fetal cardiology while actively participating in the service\u2019s traveling clinics, including those at CHRTR and Gatineau Hospital.<\/p>

    Academic Leadership and Teaching<\/strong>
    Dr. Brassard served as the Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Residency Program from March 2009 to June 2022. She now chairs the Competency Committee for the same program and is responsible for the Pediatric Cardiology elective rotation for medical students from Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al.
    Her dedication to education is noteworthy: she plays a key role in the training and evaluation of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows in pediatric cardiology, pediatrics, adult cardiology, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology, and pediatric intensive care.<\/p>

    Dr. Brassard actively participates in continuing medical education through presentations and workshops. She also contributes to various research projects, further enriching the field of pediatric and fetal cardiology.<\/p>
