MYRIAM BRASSARD MD

Dr. Brassard received her Doctor of Medicine degree from McGill University in 1992.

She completed her residency in pediatrics (1992-1996) and her residency in cardiology (1995-1997) at the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal. She added a complementary training in fetal cardiology at the same institution in 1997 as well as a pediatric and fetal echocardiography clinical tutorat at the University of Toronto (1998) and Harvard University in Boston (1998-1999).

Dr. Brassard has been a member of the CHU Sainte-Justine Pediatric Cardiology Department since 1999 and has demonstrated special interests in echocardiography and fetal cardiology. She is actively involved in mobile clinics of the CHU Sainte-Justine Cardiac Department (CHRTR and Hôpital de Gatineau).

She is the Director of the Residency Program in Pediatric Cardiology since 2009. She is a member of the Adult Cardiology Program Committee and the Evaluation Committee of the Pediatrics Program at the Université de Montréal.

Dr. Brassard is involved in teaching and evaluation of medical students and residents / clinical monitors of pediatric cardiology, pediatrics, adult cardiology, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology and intensive care programs of the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal. She is responsible for the pediatric cardiology internship for residents of the pediatrics program and co-head of the congenital cardiology internship for residents of the Université de Montréal's adult cardiology program.

Dr. Brassard also participates in on-going medical trainings through presentations / workshops at different levels and contributes to various research projects.
