
Dr. Jacques completed his medicine at Université Laval in 2004. He then completed his residency in cardiac surgery at the Université de Montréal from 2004 to 2010. From that same university, he also obtained a master's degree in biomedical sciences in 2008.
Subsequently, he performed a first two-year clinical tutorat at the University of Toronto in congenital heart surgery. He completes with a final year of training at Harvard University in Boston, still in congenital heart surgery.
Returning to Quebec City in 2013, he joined Dr Jean Perron as a Congenital Heart Surgeon working at the University Institute of Cardiology and Respirology of Quebec (Adult Surgery) and at the Mother and Child Center of the CHU de Québec (surgery pediatric). In adult surgery, Dr. Jacques has a strong interest in the surgical management of cardiac arrhythmias.
Since 2013, Dr. Jacques has been teaching at Université Laval's Faculty of Medicine. Since 2017, Dr. Jacques has been Director of the Residency Program in Cardiac Surgery at Laval University.
